once its grown its not hard at all.

just an occasional bit of maintenance.

i ahve 5 and they take care of themselves.

Just figuring out roses myself, it seems to be the key to roses is the proper soil, at least a solid 6 hours of direct sunlight per day and fertilizing at least 3 times per year. good luck!
